The Lue Loop

Does this really look like someone who knows what’s going on? He has the look that most comedians remember their fathers looking like after any question. Tyronn Lue look lost all the time, but…

2016 NBA Finals - Game Four  What it must be like to be Tyronn Lue, I mean this guy has the kind of luck people only dream about. Really think about it he really wasn’t a good player, Lue left  the University of Nebraska early for the NBA, he was drafted 23rd overall to the Denver Nuggets who immediately traded him to the L.A.Lakers. There he got almost no playing time until the 2001 post season. where he was known for defending  Allen Iverson He received two championship rings with the Lakers. Although we all know that the true players were Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, and Derek Fisher. Lue’s  his highest PPG is 13.5 with Atlanta back in 2005.  He retires as a players a two-time champion?!! REALLY? o.k. it happens right.  Then lightning struck again for Lue, he was hired as director of basketball by the Boston Celtics in 2009 where he claimed one Eastern Conference Title but lost the championship to the Lakers in his first season. L.A. Clippers gave a chance in July of 2013  and were defeated in the semi finals by Houston and in the first round by by Portland the next season.  Now enter 2014 Tyronn is hired as Cleveland’s highest paid associate coach ( he scored 8.5 PPG).  Well, what could make this any better, Lue is the highest paid assistant coach in the NBA and Lebron James is on the team. David  Blatt the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers is fired mid-season and who is there to step up to he plate… You got it, Tyronn Lue. This turn of events makes for so many firsts, Cleveland not only win the title, but they do it being down 3-1, and just like that history  is made.  Lue became the third person to win a championship as a mid-season replacement putting him in the ranks as Pat Riley.  Because of the contract extension with the Cavaliers he now able to enjoy life for the next two years. Must be nice he doesn’t need a wishing well he is THE LUE LOOP..!!

Will They 3-peat?

The Golden State Warriors current defending NBA champions.  I believe that if Donald Trump hadn’t bought Cleveland in 2016 they would have had four titles and be on their way to breaking the Chicago Bulls record. But that’s just my opinion… They were already dominating the courts in 2015 win they won their first championship in forty years.  Then they proved to be true champions when they won back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018.

Steph Curry was the name everybody either loved or hated. People who didn’t know who the Warriors were thought he was the ” all-star”.  We quickly learned that the entire roster was like watching “Space Jam” hand picked especially to shoot, defend, and steal.  Klay Thompson introduced himself  as  a “Splash Brother”,  Andre Iguodala off the bench is always hot, and Draymond Green proved that he is never scared, he is the pulse of of the team. In 2017 Kevin Durant joined the team he was the “fifth element”. With this team who could lose? In the 2017-2018 seasons  nobody could, I mean no they didn’t have a perfect season, but they have come close to knocking the Chicago Bulls off the pedestal.

After the dis accord on Monday with Green and Durant so early in the season will they be able to 3-peat. When communication is off it shows. Curry is injured, thankfully nothing too serious (groin injury), DeMarcus Cousins hasn’t played a minute yet, Green being suspended behind the argument.  Twitter of course is having fun with it insinuating that it is a part of a bigger plan. All we can watch and see.
